This is a mineral, which may contain small amounts of arsenic. It can be found in forms of green, yellow, brown, white, and gray, and in locations such as British Columbia, Canada, Colorado and Idaho in the US, and in Mexico. The name Pyromorphite comes from the Greek word “pyr”, meaning fire, and “morpho”, meaning form, referring to the crystalline shape the mineral forms when cooling. |
