Girls Day Festival Tea Ceremony set

Description: Girls Day is traditionally celebrated in Japan on March 3rd. Prior to this day, girls display special dolls and doll accessories on a tiered platform with the Emperor and Empress on the top for a week. There are 15 dolls in a traditional set. The dolls and accessories are passed down from mother to daughter, though new ones are given as gifts to add to the girls collection. These dolls are now sold mostly in sets. Finally on March 3rd, the girl, wearing her finest kimono, will visit with friends and relatives, admire her display, and eat special foods.
