Description: |
Founded in 1903, the Harley-Davidson company's goal was to take "the work out of bicycling." Ironically, the company produced bicycles from around 1916 to 1924. Meant to appeal to children and young adults, the bikes were painted and pin striped the same as the motorcycles were. Harley-Davidson bicycles were short-lived, though. Sales did not meet expectations, and they were discontinued in 1924. |
