Description: |
After World War I and the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was only allowed a small military force. In 1933, the National Socialist German Workers Party came to power and the infamous Third Reich was born. Two years later, the Treaty was renounced and the Luftwaffe, or German Air Force, was officially created. The Luftwaffe units produced some of the best flying aces during World War II. This officer’s uniform consists of a Fliegerbluse, or flyer’s blouse, and breeches. Though incomplete, the uniform would also include a blouse, tie, belt and holster, side cap, and boots. |
