James Whitcomb Riley reads his poem The bear story that Alex ist maked up his-own-sef in this unpublished 1912 recording pressed by the Victor Talking Machine Company. Each disc was played on a Technics SP-15 turntable with an SME tone arm and a Stanton Model 500 cartridge; stylus was an Expert Diamond Stylus 2.8 mil truncated elliptical; phono preamp was a Souvenir EQS MK12. The analog-to-digital converter was a Mytek Stereo96 ADC; soundcard used was a Lynx AES 16; audio recording/editing software was Wavelab 6. All preservation files were recorded at 24-bit 96 Khs. Production master files were signal processed with Waves restoration plug-ins and dithered to 16-bit 44.1 Khs. Preservation engineer: Paul Mahern. |
