Description:	James Whitcomb Riley reads an untitled poem and his poem Thoughts fer the discuraged farmer in this unpublished 1912 recording pressed by the Victor Talking Machine Company. Each disc was played on a Technics SP-15 turntable with an SME tone arm and a Stanton Model 500 cartridge; stylus was an Expert Diamond Stylus 2.8 mil truncated elliptical; phono preamp was a Souvenir EQS MK12. The analog-to-digital converter was a Mytek Stereo96 ADC; soundcard used was a Lynx AES 16; audio recording/editing software was Wavelab 6. All preservation files were recorded at 24-bit 96 Khs. Production master files were signal processed with Waves restoration plug-ins and dithered to 16-bit 44.1 Khs. Preservation engineer: Paul Mahern.
