This handwritten ledger contains the proceedings of the Indiana Annual Conference of the A.M.E. Church for 1928-1930. The Indiana Conference, to which Bethel A.M.E. Church belongs, is part of the Fourth Episcopal District. Included in the proceedings are lists of attending congregations, lists of bishops and elders, financial information, and meeting minutes. The Bethel A.M.E. Church Collection was funded by a 2016 grant from LSTA. The digital partnership was a collaboration between IHS, IUPUI University Library (www.ulib.iupui.edu/digitalscholarship), Indiana State Museum, and Bethel A.M.E. Church. |
