The Perry Family Scrapbook No. 1 includes various portrait, family and school photographs that belonged to John Nathaniel Torrence, the son-in-law of Henry and Katherlene Perry of Indianapolis. The Perrys were members of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Indianapolis. Some of the photos appear to have been taken in North Carolina. The Bethel A.M.E. Church Collection was funded by a 2016 grant from LSTA. The digital partnership was a collaboration between IHS, IUPUI University Library (www.ulib.iupui.edu/digitalscholarship), Indiana State Museum, and Bethel A.M.E. Church. |
