Significant events that occurred during the dates covered include the first meeting of the Indiana Territorial General Assembly, a visit from U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr, the founding of Vincennes University with Harrison as President of its board, the founding of Corydon (later the territorial capital), and the signing of treaties with Native American tribes of Sauc and Fox, Delaware, Osage, and Piankashaw. |
