Harrison, William Henry, Vincennes, to William Eustis, Secretary of War

Description: Harrison updates Eustis on the status of Native Americans acts of violence against white settlers. He mentions that inhabitants of the northern frontier of the Jeffersonville District have been driven off their property allegedly by a party of Indians associated with the Prophet. He further says that settlers are alarmed along a great extent of the frontier and are moving toward the Ohio from every direction.
