Johnson reports that Harrison has been nominated to receive the rank of Major General and that he (Johnson) has been given permission to raise another regiment. He states that General Wilkinson has been promoted to Major General, that General Posey has been nominated to replace Harrison as governor of the Indiana Territory, and that Congress has passed a bill directing the President to retaliate against the British and Indians for the atrocities committed at the Raisin River in January.
