Description: Snow covers the ground and rooftops of buildings. It has drifted up against the wooden fence and outbuilding. Two church steeples are shown.
Cranstone and his brother visited relatives in Richmond, Indiana, from December 1859-January 1860. Upon his return to England, Cranstone used his sketches to produce detailed watercolor and oil paintings. Exhibited as part of Treasures from the Collections - Celebrating 175 Years: 1830-2005. Third rotation.
