They are posed in front of the Indianapolis Star building next to a motorized wagon carrying their bags. The Indianapolis Star ran a contest from December 25, 1912 to February 15, 1913 for an all expenses paid trip to attend the first inauguration of Woodrow Wilson. The contest was won through a combination of nominations and subscription sales. |
