Group portrait of company E of the 12th Ammunition Train in front of tents at their base at Camp McClellan in Alabama. Two members of the kitchen crew are dressed in their white cook's uniforms. Now called Fort McClellan, the camp was located near Anniston, Alabama on the site of what was once Camp Shipp during the Spanish-American War. It was established in July 1917 and named in honor of Major General George B. McClellan, General-in-Chief of the United States Arty from 1861 to 1862. |
