Bubbie the Camel from the Jerusalem Temple of New Orleans in Indianapolis for the 45th Annual Session of the Imperial Council, June 1919

Description: Representing the Jerusalem Temple of New Orleans is Bubbie the Camel, in Indianapolis for the 45th Annual Session of the Imperial Council in June 1919. Thousands of Shriners were in town that month and their bands participated in parades and concerts on Monument Circle. This view was taken on Massachusetts Avenue in front of the Murat Temple. Across the street is the Athenaeum.
The original nitrate negative was copied with funds provided by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission in 1990. This digital image was created from that copy. The copy prints and negatives are stored in Microfiche Number order. Interpositives are stored in PAN number order.
