Camp Joe Holt in Jeffersonville

Description: Camp Joe Holt was a Union base in Jeffersonville during the Civil War. Being located on the river made it easy for boats to deliver wounded and sick soldiers there, so in 1862 it began serving as a hospital. The camp closed in December 1866.
