This is a scene in front of the Samuel and Sarah Lane home in Spiceland. Samuel repaired carriages in the wooden building behind the children. The ramp was used to haul carriages to the second floor of the building. The Lane and Toohey family children are playing in the yard. The girl with the rake, the girl in front with a cap, and the girl with long hair behind her are Lane children. The Toohey children are Margaret Ellen (Toohey) Cornell seated front left. The boy is Carl Toohey, the girl in back with her hair in braids is Erma Anora (Toohey) Pickering. |
