Seals Bridge-Barn, 9 April 1911

Description: From the book The Photography of Ben Winans of Brookville, Indiana, 1902-1926: Bridge-Barn, 9 April 1911. The unusual structure was located on a farm on Big Cedar Road east of Brookville off present State Road 252. It still stands as of this writing [2001]. The Seal Private Barn Covered Bridge spans Big Cedar Creek near Brookville in Franklin County, Indiana. The bridge was built in 1905 by George Reuss and is a Queen Post Truss structure. It was 60 feet long, 64 with the two feet overhang on each end. The bridge is still in use today.
