Main Street, Mauckport, Indiana

Description: Mauckport was founded in 1827 as New Market and renamed after Frederick Mauck, an early settler of the area. The Ohio River has played a major role in Mauckport history: John Hunt Morgan crossed over the river east of the town during his raid and the town has been hit by many floods over the years. This view of Main Street appears to run south towards the Ohio River.
