Josiah Harmar, Camp Miami villages and camp about 24 miles from the ruins of the Miami village to Governor Arthur St. Clair, Fort Washington

Description: Harmar describes the militias encounter with Native Americans in a letter with two separate entries. On October 18th, Harmar tells of the state of an abandoned Miami Indian village. On October 24, Harmar reports on the results of a battle between the Native Americans and the militia.

Both letters were written on one large sheet of paper folded in half--the first letter (1 page) is on the front and the second (2 pages) is on the inside pages. The address of the recipient is on the back page.
