Description: Pike informs Wayne of recent events affecting the western part of the Northwest territory, including Pikes troubles with deserters and Lieutenant Gregg and reports of the Spanish colonial governments preparations for war with the United States and their encouragement of deserters and others to emigrate to the western side of the Mississippi River.
