John Harrison, Louisville, Kentucky

Description: Harrison certifies at the request of Doctor Jones, chaplain to the United States Army, that Robert Newman, lately confined as deserter from Waynes army, has fled from Louisville after swindling that citys citizens. Harrison further states that Newman claimed not to be a deserter but rather was employed by Wayne and Wilkinson to carry disloyal dispatches to the enemy.
