Lieutenant Peter Shoemaker, Commanding at Fort St. Clair, to Major John Mills, Adjutant General

Description: Shoemaker reports that the name of the man claiming to have a copy of the treaty with the Native Americans was Sergeant Christian not Christy. In a postscript, Shoemaker mentions he has a keg of pickles ready for Mills and Doctor Scott that will be sent as soon as possible.
