Letter from T.C. Steele to James Whitcomb Riley, December 15, 1883

Description: In his letter to James Whitcomb Riley, Hoosier artist T.C. Steele thanks Riley for sending a copy of his recent poetry book The Old Swimmin Hole and Leven More Poems. Steel, who was studying in Germany at the time of this letter, commented on Rileys ability to describe the unique quality of Indiana in the fall. Steele included several scenic sketches in this letter that he envisioned while reading Rileys poetry.
