A 1947 newspaper ad for Habermel Drug Store, Corydon, Harrison County, Indiana. The ad features images of actors Lynn Bari and Pat OBrien and promotes a radio program in which they play lead roles. Known as the Rexall Theatre, the program was sponsored by over 10,000 independent Rexall druggists such as Herb Habermel. Louisville radio station WAVE broadcast the weekly program in a series of thirteen episodes over the summer of 1947. The shows plot was centered around a small town druggist, played by OBrien, and the head nurse at the local hospital, played by Bari. |
