Patrick and Helen Porter Griffin's fourth child, Olive, around age fourteen. Olive Griffin studied the millinery trade as a young woman and established her own shop in Corydon, Indiana in 1896. A year later she joined her father and siblings in forming the Maurice Griffin & Co. firm and moved her trade into the family's store on Beaver Street in Corydon. There she designed and sold ladies' dress hats for over sixty years. |
