Helen Porter Griffin, March 1932

Description: Helen Porter Griffin (1844-1940) stands on the porch steps of her son William Maurice Griffins home in Corydon, Indiana, in 1932. Helen lived just two doors down from her son with the Corydon Presbyterian Church (a portion of which can be seen behind her in this photograph) standing between the two dwellings. Maurice built his house near that of his parents on East Walnut Street in 1913. It later became the home of his youngest son, Frederick Porter Griffin, and his family.
