Description: |
The three children of Maurice (Morris) Franklin and Sadie Wood Griffin of California. Maurice F. Griffin traveled to California during the Gold Rush. His brother Patrick followed a few years later, but ultimately returned to Indiana. Morris, however, spent the remainder of his life in California, where he married and raised three children. Their branch of the family became known as the California Griffins. This image shows Morris children photographed in their youth. They are left to right: Frank Wood Griffin (1873-1941), Mary Kellogg (Maymie) Griffin (1867-1952), and Maurice Edward Griffin (1871-1952). |
