The Henry County Sheriffs Department is still searching for Roscoe Fry, a prisoner who escaped from the Henry County Jail on September 28, 2005. Three other prisoners escaped with Fry, but have all since been re-captured.; A group of Boy Scouts participated in an educational reenactment at Camp Red Wing. The reenactment included actual adult jailers, policemen, lawyers, reporters, and jurors, as well Boy Scouts playing those roles. Set pieces include a mock-murder scene investigation, a mock prison and a mock trial.; The Randolph County Courthouse in Winchester, Indiana needs major structural repairs, according to a structural engineering group from Fort Wayne, Indiana.; A resident of New Castle, Indiana died after crashing his car during a high speed chase in Jay County, Indiana on October 2, 2005. His car had recently been linked to the scene of a burglary.; The Alexandria Police Department has begun using SCAN, a national alert service. SCAN allows local police and fire departments, public safety agencies, schools and hospitals to send emergency alerts and critical safety information to the PCs, mobile phones and PDAs of neighborhood residents who may be at risk. SCAN is provided to both public safety agencies and citizens completely free of charge through corporate sponsorships.; Students in Lapel, Indiana participated in a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Lapel High School.
