Manual Transmissions is owned by General Motors Corporation.; Democrat Joe Kernan, Governor of Indiana, pledges to work with the Muncie, Indiana community, The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, and Vision 2006 to provide new jobs for the local workers who will be laid off by General Motors.; A small fire broke out at the Borg-Warner factory in Muncie, Indiana on May 12, 2005.
