Description: |
An interview with Patrick P. OCarroll, Assistant Commissioner of the Treasury Department Bureau of Narcotics, regarding the use of marijuana, its history, and government drug policy. OCarroll delivered a presentation on this subject at a seminar entitled Drug Dependence and Abuse - An Interdisciplinary Approach held on the campus of Ball State University during July and August of 1968. This film originated from WLBC-TV and was (possibly) a part of a segment titled, Week in Review. The station was created in 1953 by Don Burton. WLBC-TV Channel 49 was sold in 1971 to a local non-profit group, who changed the stations callsign to the current WIPB-TV, now licensed by Ball State University.
