Todd Oldham is an American designer whose studio flourished from 1989-1999. Oldham had no formal training, and his designs were inspired by everyday things, novelty, thrift-store finds, and vintage catalogue illustrations. Oldhams designs were also influenced by the visual experiences he had as a teenager while living with his family in Tehran. He was captivated by the bold colors and the dynamic and intricate designs. This 1990s midriff vest is an example of those influences and is currently housed in the Department of Applied Business Studies.
