1890s womens skirt and jacket

Description: Womans two-piece suit in black and green wool. The ensemble includes a floor length black skirt and a jacket. The jacket is waist length with long sleeves, a large lapel, and an open neckline. The sleeves are two-toned in green and black and are set in with pleats to create puffed shoulders. The turned cuffs are covered in black silk satin and are decorated with black scalloped braid and small black buttons. The same black braid trims the lapel and collar. The interior of the jacket is structured with boning and lined with brown satin. The skirt is simple and unadorned. Hem braid is attached at the bottom of the skirt to protect it from wear.
