1980s women’s Balintawak dress (Filipino)

Description: Traditional Filipino womens Balintawak dress made of black fabric printed with large orange and red flowers. The dress has short, puffy butterfly sleeves typical of Filipiniana attire. The skirt is gathered at the waistline and falls to mid-calf. The garment is paired with an orange satin sash over one shoulder and a matching tapis (waist wrap) tied around the waist.
