Ruth Blair was born in this home located on U.S. 36. Her grandparents, Eddie and Jennie (Barker) Blair built the house. The home had five bedrooms upstairs and the stairway went up about eight steps and turned left. The bay window was the parlor. Her parents, Russell B. and Muriel A. (Worrell) Blair moved into the house to watch the home and farmstead while her grandparents, Eddie and Jennie (Barker) Blair, visited with their daughter Helen (Blair) Houston who lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This daughter had tuberculosis. |
