This photograph is the Shiloh Methodist Church located one half-mile north of US Highway 36 on County Road 1050 East (also known as Shiloh Road in 2012). According to The History of Hendricks County, 1914-1976, Shiloh was the first established Methodist Episcopal Church in Hendricks County. It was organized in 1823 and first located in the home of Robert Wilson. The current building (2012) was built in 1902 on land owned by the Wilson family. |
