Description: 6 1/2 x 9 3/4 inch engraving mounted on 9 x 11 inch mat, Abraham Lincoln, bearded, head and torso, with facsimile signature and forged Lincoln signature below; vignette. On the reverse is a handwritten signed and notarized statement from William P. Brown claiming the Lincoln signature to be genuine and the item to have been a gift from Mary Todd Lincoln to Brown in 1866. This is one of several items with forged signatures that Brown claimed to be genuine.
