Indianapolis, May 12: Ongais Out: Race driver Danny Ongais, of Costa Mesa, Calif., is removed from his race car after Ongais tangled with another car, spun and hit the inside wall coming out of turn four at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday during practice for qualifications. Ongais was trapped in his car 22 minutes. He was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for observation where his condition was reported stable. AP Laserphoto MAC.71740.stf0car. 1979.
