Wabash, Ind. Feb. 28: Fire aftermath: Wabash firemen use a crane and aerial unit to lift and spray roof sections from Dicks Trading Post, a clothing and sporting goods store destroyed by an early morning fire. Peru and Urbana, Ind. departments helped in fighting the eight hour fire which was still smoldering at noon Wednesday, damage estimated at one half million. Firemen were hampered in the 10,000 sq. ft. structure by only two entrances to the building and had to cut through the steel walls with saws. AP Laserphoto. drw/41105/winslow-plain dealer. 1979.
