Indiana Service Corporation: This ingenious arrangement for working an O-B hand-operated frog is used in the yards of the Fort Wayne shops. the hand is left in its up position when the frog is set for the turnout. This makes the setting of the frog clearly visible to the coach operator. When the frog is set for straight through, the handle is pushed down, parallel to the pole. This extends the strong spring and because the handle passes the center point of the hinge, the spring holds it in position, at the same time exerting ample pull against the lighter spring in the frog mechanism. This is the first in a series, showing a wider view; for closeups of the up and down positions, see 6301 and 6302.
