Arlington National Cemetery, Sir John Dill, a British soldier, he served as the British Ambassador to the U. S. at the time of his death in 1945. He was buried here. This monument was erected by the Congress of the U. S. for his services during the war. This grave is located near the front entrance of the cemetery on the left gate and the first section as you enter. In the next section, just a few feet away is buried Governor Paul V. McNutt of Indiana, who died in March of 1955. He is buried in this section where all the high ranking men lay because he was U. S. High Commissioner of the Philippines. Date 06/00/1955. |
