Captain Clarence Paddles Soest hands out literature during Fire Prevention Week at the Fire Prevention Booth on the Allen County Court House Square. The 1848 Button Hand Pulled Hand Operated Fire Truck is in the background. The Button was delivered to Fort Wayne via the Wabash Erie Canal in 1848. It is in the Fire Fighters Museum in Fort Wayne at this time (2006). Photo is from a Fire Prevention Book made in 1951. |
