First aid demonstration during WWII.

Description: Block wardens and volunteer police and firemen in the citys civilian defense system watched demonstrations of first aid technique, such as illustrated above, Monday night at the Shrine Auditorium during the first meeting of the defense warden training school. City firemen gave the demonstration. At the microphone is fireman George Hood, who described to more than 3,000 wardens in attendance emergency first aid treatment as it was demonstrated on the stage.
