The Fort Wayne Fire Department celebrates its 125th birthday on August 30, 1964 by placing a marker plaque for the first central fire station built in 1860 for a volunteer fire company and later used by the paid fire department starting in 1882. Location is Court Street and East Berry Street. L-R: Martin Luepke, Sharon Poyser, Mayor Harold Zeis, George K. Bradley of the C.D. Fire Department, Daniel Reibel. Date 08/25/1964
