GENERAL STORE

Description: Coulardot’s General Store—in Zulu. Sitting on the front porch was Francis Girardot, grandmother of Clifford Coulardot, his mother, Louise Coulardot and Rose Venderley. Sitting in front of the store was Hilda Coulardot Murfield. The cream cans there are waiting to be picked up by Sherman White. Coulardot’s General Store was at first a trading post, then a grocery store ran by many different people down through the years until 1897 when Marcis Courlardot and his new bride the former Louise Girardot purchased it in 1897 from Charles Ternet.
